eTango was founded in the fall of 1997 when Alexander Romero and Billy Rutledge turned their friendship, creativity, technical knowledge, and drive into a company. At the time both were Technical Managers at Procter & Gamble responsible for implementing and supporting pieces of P&G's Global Information Technologies.

Both had a passion to put their talent to work in a meaningful way and from almost day one, established a purpose and set of values by which the company would live. Our values are Leadership, Creativity, and Understanding.

In the summer of 1999, both resigned their positions at P&G to work full time on eTango and moved the company from Cincinnati, OH to San Francisco, CA where it is still located today.
